The SimpleyNatural story

From local markets to putting down roots in Edwinstowe, Sherwood Forest

Hi, I’m Trisha Sutherns — founder and owner of SimpleyNatural. With retail outlets and workshops in both Newark On Trent and Sherwood Forest (home of Robin Hood), my team of five and I work our socks off, making body care products with a conscience.

From bath bombs to toothpaste, all of our products are made from SimpleyNatural ingredients and protectively wrapped in recyclable packaging.

If you’re determined, like I am, to treat our world with kindness and respect, then I think you and I will get along fabulously.

Our story

At Simpley HQ, we’re big believers in baths and their relaxing properties. To the extent that Trisha used to make salts and scrubs as gifts for family and friends.

“There’s nothing better than giving the gift of self-care”, says Trisha.

The business started when Trisha’s daughter was made redundant. She wanted to do something to fill her time. So, she encouraged her mum to make more of her handcrafted body care products and began to sell them at Christmas markets.

At the time, we didn’t know the Simpley range would prove to be so popular.

Together, Trisha and her daughter expanded and visited local markets throughout the year to sell the SimpleyNatural body care lines.

Trisha says, “when we first started, we were making our products in a spare bedroom. Yet, we were getting so many orders, my husband started to worry about the salt’s weight causing the floor to collapse.”

It was at that point that Simpley opened their first workshop and shop in Sherwood Forest.

The rest, as they say, is history.
